Join the ceremonial awarding of the honorary doctorate to Prof. Sharon Lewin for her achievements in research and contributions to international scientific cooperation, in particular her impulses for the Bonn-Cumming Host-Directed Pandemic Therapeutics Research Program.
We are delighted to invite you to the ceremonial awarding of the honorary doctorate to Prof. Sharon Lewin, followed by a lunchtime reception. The event will take place on 5 February 2025 at 11:00 AM in the DZNE lecture hall and will last approximately two hours.
The award ceremony will take place as part of a scientific symposium and in the presence of a high-ranking delegation from Melbourne, where we will honour the outstanding achievements of Prof. Lewin.
Prof. Sharon Lewin is an internationally renowned scientist in the field of infectious diseases and has done pioneering work as Director of the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity and the Cumming Global Centre for Pandemic Therapeutics. She is also Melbourne Laureate Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne.
With the honorary doctorate, we would like to honour her outstanding achievements in research and her significant contributions to international scientific cooperation - in particular her valuable impulses for the Bonn-Cumming Host-Directed Pandemic Therapeutics Research Program.
