The Vice Rectorate for Equal Opportunity and Diversity is organising the third Diversity Days at the University of Bonn. The program includes the topics "Language Connects" and "Women Empowering STEM".
Day 1 - Language Connects
The event will be held in German, with simultaneous translation into English and German sign language
Language is an expression for the perception and interpretation of the world and diversity. It can create identity and a sense of belonging and is therefore a central element on the path to an inclusive university. How can an inclusive language be established at the university that appropriately represents and includes all members of the university – far from discrimination?
Day 2 - Women Empowering STEM
The event will be held in English
Get ready to be inspired as you connect with female professors from our university and learn more about exciting science across Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Computer Science and Medicine.
You can look forward to insightful talks from successful women in academia, sharing their personal journeys and career paths. Additionally, you can participate in informal networking sessions over lunch, where you have the opportunity to talk with professors and early career scientists, establishing valuable new connections. In the afternoon, the program is rounded off with a selection of soft skills workshops focusing on career planning and networking strategies.
