Ina Danquah is a Hertz Professor „Innovation for Planetary Health“ at the Transdisziplinären Forschungsbereich (TRA) „Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Futures“. As a nutritional epidemiologist, she is focusing on population-based research into climate change, nutrition and health. This pertains to the bidirectional relationships of dietary habits and climate change, innovative strategies of climate change adaptation in the food system, and health co-benefits of climate change mitigation efforts. Embedded in this, Ina Danquah investigates the interrelations between infectious diseases and cardio-metabolic conditions among populations living in and coming from sub-Saharan Africa.
